The Course Catalog contains comprehensive information about Saginaw Valley State University, its academic programs and requirements for earning bachelor's and master's degrees from SVSU. It can serve as your guide to admission and graduation requirements, and for various academic options. Brief descriptions of all courses are listed by department, as well as programs of study for each major and minor currently offered.
Graduation requirements are based on the regulations and requirements published in the catalog in effect at the time you initially registered at Saginaw Valley State University as a degree-seeking student. You may choose to follow graduation requirements in a catalog published after your initial registration, but you must follow the entire set of graduation requirements listed in that catalog. No student may graduate under the requirements of a catalog published more than six calendar years prior to the date of graduation. If you have to be readmitted, you must follow all the requirements and regulations in the catalog current at the time you re-enroll.
You should refer to your catalog for information you'll need to successfully complete a degree program at SVSU. Additional assistance is available from academic advisors and faculty. You also should refer to the Course Schedule, which lists all the courses, location and meeting times for fall, winter and spring/summer semester.
